Unfinished Business:  The budget line items:  Diocesan Assessment and Development were presented again for review.  Father Jim will discuss with the Finance committee during the meeting next week regarding the Development line item that is duplicated on the Capital Improvement ministry budget.  If this is duplication the amount will be placed in the budget under Development and deleted from Capital Improvement.   The Diocesan Assessment budget was approved.  Beverly Sabourin-Moore moved to approve these line items and Vicky Shabbott seconded the motion.  The motion was unanimously approved.

New Business:  Joe Shabbott gave an update on the information of Local Planning Area 6.  Weekly information letters to the parish will be inserted in the bulletin for the next 5 weeks.

Other Business Items from Council Members:

Jim Lee gave an update on the progress of the planning committee.  Jim explained to the council that Mr. Harris, the Architect, called him after meeting with Mr. Ron Peaks of the Gloucester County Planning Office.  Jim stated that Mr. Peaks had recommended to Mr. Harris that the parish hold onto the “Old Rectory” property on Belroi Rd. for additional parking, or storm water management if needed.  This information was immediately passed along and the property taken off the market.  Jim also stated that the planning committee had previously agreed that a letter be sent out to all parishioners informing them of the information contained in Mr. Harris’s Preliminary Master Plan Focus Group Report (January 29, 2008) along with the recommendation that parishioners should acknowledge reading the document and include an e-mail address if they desire to be included on an electronic distribution list to keep them informed on the progress of this project.  The planning committee meets again on Mar. 12th, 2008.

Pastor Comments:  Father Jim recommended that the Planning Committee, Finance Council, and Administrative Staff come to the next Parish Council Meeting to discuss the recommendations and plans accepted by the planning committee before releasing the information to the Parish.  During this meeting the Architect will be invited to give a briefing on the design and plans submitted to the planning committee.

Announcements:  The next Parish Council meeting will be on April 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Social Hall.

Closing Prayer:

The meeting closed with a prayer given by Joe Shabbott.

Respectfully submitted:

 Vicky Shabbott, Secretary
